- NODINE IS A JOKE. HE HAS SQUANDERED MORE MONEY OUT OF THIS COUNTY THAN ANYONE. HE HAS YET TO FIX THE BROKEN RURAL MOBILE COUNTY(EMS) AMBULANCE SERVICE, GIVEN MILLIONS IN INCENTIVES AND CREATED NEW POSITIONS AT THE COUNTY LEVEL. HE WAS ALSO OPPOSED TO THE COUNTY PAY RAISE IN ITS ORIGINAL FORMAT.

Vote them out is right. And real. Term limits haven't worked. Campaign finance reform hasn't worked. There is only one ultimate power - the power of the electorate. If, over a period of 12 to 18 years we consistently voted anti-incumbent in every election at every level of government, real change would occur. I mean every office for three full cycles - NO MATTER HOW GOOD THEY SAY THE CURRENT GUY/GAL IS DOING. NO INCUMBANCY. Real turn over at every level. From Dog Catcher to President of the United States of America (If they still call it that in a few years).

And how about this - once you have served in government, you should not ever - EVER - be allowed to profit from that service by lobbying the pals and exploiting the system you oozed into. Once back to private citizen, that's it. No more hanging around - GO BACK TO WORK!

A little huffy perhaps - but there's just something about being ripped off to the tune of trillions by guys who walked out the door of Goldman-Sachs and into Treasury, or by the live in lover of banking CHAIRMAN Barney Frank - that gets my back up.
